Pride is about learning, remembering and celebrating. At PortaLaw, human rights is such a big part of our practice. So during Pride,  we can’t help but remind ourselves of Canada’s non-discrimination legal landscape and how it has progressed over time.

From the Charter of Rights and Freedoms, to historic Supreme Court of Canada cases, to the everyday people championing 2SLGBTQQIA+ equality…the fight is ongoing, but the wins make us believe in an optimistic future for equality in our country.
