Open Porta - Free Legal Help
PortaLaw offers free summary legal advice appointments through our in-house legal clinic, in partnership with Access Pro Bono.
Once per month, PortaLaw lawyers volunteer time to provide summary legal advice during a dedicated clinic session. These appointments are designed to help eligible individuals understand their legal issue, options, and next steps.
How the program works
Access Pro Bono manages all intake and eligibility screening for this program. Individuals must go through Access Pro Bono first to be considered.

If referred to PortaLaw, clients are scheduled into one of our clinic sessions
Each clinic includes four 30-minute summary advice appointments, provided by rotating PortaLaw lawyers.
